A lifelong Central Ohio resident, Mr. Wright attended Baldwin Wallace College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and his teaching credentials. He earned a Master of Sport Science degree from the United States Sports Academy and studied educational administration at Ashland University. Mr. Wright taught middle and high school English courses at Danville Local Schools, Fredericktown Local Schools, and at Olentangy Local Schools for eleven years.

Mr. Wright began his administrative career serving as the Dean of Students and then Assistant Principal at Olentangy High School for eight years, before serving as Building Principal to over 2,000 students at Liberty High School for five years. He has served as Assistant Superintendent for Olentangy Local Schools for the past three years, which serves over 20,500 students.

Mr. Wright is the proud husband of Nicki, an 8th Grade Career-Based Intervention teacher for the Delaware Area Career Center. Together, they have three sons.
