Born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania and served active duty in the Air Force for 25 years (1989-2014). I've managed engineering and construction departments to support maintenance and capital improvement programs for various military construction programs. Currently, I’m responsible for developing, monitoring and implementing Anchorage School District's $50-60 million annual capital improvement program that supports 87 schools and 6 support facilities (approx. 7.5 million square feet). Additionally, I oversee a professional staff of Project Managers, Design Staff, Construction Inspectors, Engineer Assistants, project support personnel and interns to enhance the learning environment for more than 48,000 students and nearly 5,000 employees.I've developed a passion for process improvement, delivering quality projects and investing in employee development. I've gained extensive knowledge in construction engineering and management practices. I've lived and worked in 10 countries and 6 different states overcoming many engineering and construction challenges at home and abroad.
