Lisa Butler is the Associate Superintendent of Student Learning for Alvin Independent School District. She is a native Texan, growing up in Southeast Texas. Lisa started her career in the North Houston area at Klein High School and Magnolia High School. She enjoyed her experience as a Math Teacher, Coach, Assistant principal and Associate principal. Lisa then moved to one of the fastest growing school districts in the Houston area to help open Alvin ISD’s 2nd High School. With the growth of the district she was able to serve in all levels of administration and to this day she pulls from those experiences when assessing and supporting Student Learning in AISD. One of her favorite books and quotes resonates repeatedly when working with educational leaders on accountability; “Good is the enemy of Great.” - Jim Collins
