Jeff McCoy currently serves as Executive Director, Academic Innovation & Technology for Greenville County Schools in Greenville, South Carolina. Greenville County Schools is the largest district in South Carolina, serving just over 70,000 students and 6,000 teachers. His duties include overseeing the development of teacher training programs and conducting workshops for teachers and administrators on technology integration best practices. He also started and oversees the Greenville County Virtual School which serves over 1,500 students a year. Jeff currently works on the planning committee of the South Carolina Ed Tech conference and the SC Internet Safety task force. Jeff and his department founded the Upstate Technology Conference which is a free conference that draws over 1,300 educators from around the state of South Carolina and surrounding states. Before moving to the district level, Jeff was a middle school Language Arts teacher and International Baccalaureate Coordinator. In 2008 he was awarded the Greenville County Schools District Employee of the Year distinction by his colleagues and supervisors.
