Hector Gonzalez is the Director of Facilities for the Perris Union High School District, which is located in Riverside County, California. In his current role, Mr. Gonzalez has completed the design, planning, and construction of a complex range of projects. Included in this list of projects are a 280,000 square foot comprehensive high school. This campus will utilize the most current instructional strategies which have been incorporated into the design of this campus to further the flexibility of learning spaces, available to instructors and students that will be utilizing this campus. Mr. Gonzalez has also completed the planning and design of a 95,000 square foot middle school. Mr. Gonzalez has worked closely with the architect to develop a cutting-edge design that utilizes collaborative spaces to promote close working relationships for staff and students. Additionally, Mr. Gonzalez was an integral part of the planning and design phases of a complete campus transformation at an existing high school campus. This project involves the transformation of a 1959 vintage campus, on an undersized site, that is being transformed into a modern, technologically progressive environment that combines the educational goals of the District with the needs of the students and staff. All of these projects have required close interactions and collaboration with all aspects of the educational process. Mr. Gonzalez has been the link between the facilities design, planning, construction and educational teams.          

Prior to his current position as Director of Facilities, Mr. Gonzalez held many different positions in school district operations. These include custodial, maintenance, grounds, and supervisory roles. In these positions, Mr. Gonzalez was able to form collaborative teams, which led to successful departments under his leadership. His roles have included increasing levels of responsibility and supervision. Mr. Gonzalez holds a bachelor’s degree in Business.
