Dr. Brigman is a US Navy Veteran and is originally from Marshall, North Carolina.  During his 28 years in public education, Dr. Brigman has served as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal, secondary curriculum director, and is entering his sixteenth year as a public school superintendent.  He received a technical degree in Diesel Vehicle Maintenance from Asheville-Buncombe Technical College, his BA in Math and Social Studies from Mars Hill College (now University), his MA in Educational Leadership from Tennessee Tech University, and his Ed.D. from Trevecca Nazarene University. 

 Since his arrival to Laurens County, Georgia in November, 2017, numerous undertakings include reorganization of the central services, implementation of revised school schedules in all schools including the implementation of a 4x4 block schedule in high schools, expansion of dual enrollment courses, deployment of time-keeping system for all employees, implementation of an online/digital enrollment system, and arming select school system employees in accordance with LCBOE Policy GAMB to enhance response time in the event of a school threat or crisis.  Dr. Brigman, his wife Cindy, and their four children reside in Rentz, Georgia.
